Summit Park, in partnership with the Aspirent leadership team, is pleased to announce an investment in Aspirent Consulting, LLC (“Aspirent” or “the Company”), a professional services firm providing a full suite of management and technology consulting services focused on data and analytics. The partnership marks Summit Park’s first investment from its Technology and Consulting Services campaign, which was launched in November 2018 to evaluate and invest in market-leading IT and professional services firms.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, and founded in 2014, Aspirent provides strategic consulting, cloud development, and project execution services related to data and analytics for blue-chip clients in the Atlanta market. The Company’s clients are typically executives at Fortune 500 companies across various end markets, including consumer goods, industrial products, communications, and healthcare. Engagements with Aspirent are varied in nature, but typically involve solving clients’ evolving data-related business problems through a combination of applied data science, information management, cloud development and migration, data visualization, and project management.
Summit Park partnered with industry veterans Bob Gallagher and Jim Folds, who will serve in advisory roles to support the Company’s plans for continued growth. Gallagher and Folds previously built and grew a leading financial services consultancy, Carlisle & Gallagher, which sold to NTT Data, Inc. in 2015.
Mike York, Principal of Summit Park said, “From our first interaction with the Aspirent team, we have been highly impressed with the Company’s capabilities and success in solving blue-chip clients’ data and analytics problems. Driving meaning from data is a significant challenge for most companies as data proliferates and organizations struggle to utilize it effectively in their decision-making processes. We see a tremendous opportunity in partnering with the Aspirent team to capitalize on a large and growing market opportunity.”
Andrew Wells, co-founder and CEO of Aspirent, added, “To accelerate Aspirent’s growth, we looked for a strong partner that can help our organization scale to meet the growing demand for our services. We found that partner in Summit Park, who brings a wealth of experience growing small to medium size businesses into large enterprises. Along with the proven track records of Bob Gallagher and Jim Folds, we are confident we have found a great combination to build Aspirent into the market leading data and analytics consultancy.”
The transaction is the third platform investment in Summit Park’s third fund, Summit Park III.
